HGV Technician Needed in Preston
  • Location: Preston
  • Working Hours: Three shifts – Day, Back, and Nights
  • Salary: £18 - £22 per hour
Our client, a leading Commercial Main Dealer, is looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join their team in Preston. With a large workshop of 10 bays and a reputation for unrivalled expertise in trucks and support services, this is a fantastic opportunity to work with a company that offers exceptional service and is committed to meeting customer needs. Key Responsibilities of the HGV Technician:
  • Service, maintain, and repair heavy goods vehicles
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
  • Conduct MOT preparations to ensure vehicles comply with regulatory standards
  • Follow safety protocols and HGV maintenance regulations
  • Use strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
  • Work flexible hours across three shifts – Day, Back, and Nights
What We’re Looking For in the HGV Technician:
  • Strong experience as an HGV Technician
  • Qualified to a Level 3 standard in HGV maintenance and repair (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent)
  • Full UK driving licence (Class 1 Licence preferred)
  • Relevant certifications and qualifications are advantageous
