Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) Technician

Are you an experienced Light Commercial Vehicle Technician looking to join a dynamic, growing team? Our client is looking for a skilled and reliable LCV Technician to join their busy workshop, working on a variety of light commercial vehicles and vans.

Key Responsibilities of this Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) Technician role include:
  • Perform periodic inspections on light commercial vehicles and vans.
  • Carry out MOT preparations (must be experienced in this area).
  • Conduct general servicing and repairs to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
  • Perform diagnostics on a wide range of issues.
  • Repair and maintain brakes, suspensions, clutches, and cambelts.
About the Team:
  • Join a big workshop with a great team of people.
  • The team consists of 1 Manager, 2 Supervisors, 4 Team Leaders, and 20 Technicians.
  • You'll also have access to an on-site Bodyshop and MOT Lane.
Working Hours of the Van Technician:
  • Monday to Friday: 6:30am – 3:00pm (40 hours per week).
  • Saturdays: Overtime is available but not guaranteed, you don’t have to work Saturdays if you prefer not to.
Salary Details:
  • Hourly Rate: £17.94 per hour, with an added “Location Allowance” An additional £1.16 per hour which equates to and overall earing of £39,728 p.a.
  • Overtime Rate: £26.91 per hour (time-and-a-half, excluding location allowance).
Benefits for the Successful Van Technician Include:
  • Holiday Allowance: 20 days holiday + bank holidays, with 1 extra day per year up to a maximum of 25 days (over a 5 year period).
  • Annual Health Assessment.
  • EV and Level 3 in Vehicle Mechanics Training.
  • All PPE and workwear provided.
