This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in the motor trade who is ready to take on a responsible, varied role in a friendly, close-knit team.
Responsibilities of The Assistant Garage Manager Will Include:
- Assisting the Garage Manager in running the workshop effectively and efficiently.
- Opening and closing the business daily.
- Liaising with vehicle technicians to ensure smooth workflow.
- Taking and updating customer bookings, including pre-booking Saturday appointments for the following week.
- Providing quotations for jobs and seeking authorisation from customers.
- Ordering parts and managing returns.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the motor trade, with a focus on aftersales or workshop support.
- Strong organisational and communication skills to work effectively with both customers and staff.
- A customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering service excellence.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and an excellent work ethic.
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
- Every Other Saturday: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm (primarily handling pre-booked work and taking bookings for the following week).
