Business Development Manager – Automotive Sector
  • Hours: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, 5 days a week
  • Salary: £65,000 OTE (£32,000 basic + £33,000 variable
Are you an experienced Business Development Manager within the Automotive Industry with a track record in managing and developing relationships with large fleets? Do you have a talent for identifying new business opportunities in the automotive sector? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

Our client, a leading Car Dealer Group, is seeking an ambitious and motivated Business Development Manager to drive growth and unearth larger new accounts in London and beyond. This is an exciting expansion role designed to target companies not currently offering company cars or salary sacrifice schemes. Please note this is not a Local Business Development Manager job opportunity. 

About the Business Development Manager role:
  • Focus on prospecting: Identify and open accounts with companies managing fleets of 50+ units annually.
  • Strategic targeting: Explore millions of businesses across London and the UK, uncovering untapped potential in the salary sacrifice market.
  • Relationship management: Build and maintain long-term partnerships with key decision-makers in businesses that lack established automotive solutions.
  • Account opening, not sales: While sales are handled by other teams, your success will be measured by your ability to establish and grow new accounts.
  • Remote working: Flexibility to work remotely with occasional days in the office to report to the Sales Manager.

Our Client is looking for in a Business Development Manager:
  • Proven experience managing large fleets or working in a leasing company or automotive funder.
  • Expertise in targeting and building relationships with businesses in new markets.
  • Strong networking skills and the ability to identify opportunities with companies not yet offering salary sacrifice or fleet solutions.
  • Based in or around London, with the ability to travel as required.
You’ll report directly to the Sales Manager and work alongside our Local Business Development Managers and account management teams. While they handle ongoing sales and account maintenance, your role will focus on growth and opening doors to new opportunities.
