Reporting to the Service Manager and working as part of a team, as a Workshop Controller you will manage and develop the workshop, providing technical support to staff and customers. You will ensure that maximum utilisation and quality are achieved from the workshop, guarantee that repairs and services to vehicles are carried out efficiently and to the highest possible standard, and make sure customer satisfaction is achieved. You will also assist the administration department to ensure all tasks are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
To be eligible, you will need to have a successful track record in running a similar commercial vehicle workshop. Overall you will have excellent communication skills, be able to supervise and manage staff, have good interpersonal skills and team orientation, be results orientated, have problem-solving and decision-making skills, put a focus on quality and reliability, and be IT literate. You will also need to have a UK driving license with minimal points.
