  • Basic Salary From £50,000 + KPI Bonus
  • Commercial Vehicle Main Dealer
  • Monday to Friday 08:00 to 18:00 (1/2 hour unpaid lunch)
  • Every 3rd Saturday 08:00 to 12:00
Our client, a leading Commercial Vehicle Main Dealer with over 30 years of trading experience, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Service Manager to oversee their workshop departments in Southampton, Hampshire.

Our client works closely with numerous haulage businesses and commercial enterprises, offering exceptional service whether purchasing or maintaining commercial vehicles. The expertise provided by the aftersales team is crucial to their success.

Duties of a Service Manager with our Client:
  • Oversee the operation of the service department, including assisting or covering workshop control during holidays/absence
  • Cultivate a successful business sales culture focused on customer service excellence, customer retention, and new business for both workshop and parts
  • Achieve high KPI standards, including MOT pass rates, 24hr breakdown results, Rex CSS reports, and maintaining dealer standards and audits
  • Fully integrate into systems and processes, covering job card creation, customer updates, retail costing, workshop control, and parts processes
  • Manage day-to-day workshop activities to ensure productivity, stock control, and quality performance measures are met
  • Increase efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability by engaging the team’s productivity and financial targets
  • Ensure robust, standardised policies are adhered to by all staff
  • Identify and implement training needs for all staff, including recruitment
What our Client expects of their Service Manager:
  • Proven experience in an Automotive Management or Workshop Controller role
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and effectively manage the workshop
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Diligence and accuracy in all tasks
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
  • Proactive, positive attitude with a dynamic personality
  • A passion for contributing to ongoing success
