Key Responsibilities as a Workshop Controller:
- Hands-on Technical Work: Spend half your time on the workshop floor, carrying out repairs, maintenance, and overseeing quality control.
- Workshop Management: The other half of your time will be spent overseeing the daily operations of the workshop. This includes managing the team, ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard, maintaining safety protocols, and optimising workflow.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of skilled technicians, providing guidance and support where needed.
- Client Interaction: Ensure customer satisfaction through clear communication and high-quality work.
- Inventory & Equipment Management: Oversee stock levels, order parts, and ensure the workshop is well-equipped to meet demands.
- You will have a proven background in a technical or mechanical role, with hands-on experience.
- Ideally, you’ll have experience in a supervisory or managerial position, able to handle the dual demands of both workshop floor and team management.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage a busy workshop.
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a keen eye for detail.
