  • Location: Plumstead, South East London
  • Hourly Rate: £23 per hour (depending on experience)
  • Overtime: Paid at take-home rate
  • Bonus Structure: No bonus structure – our client believes monitoring time is impractical and creates unnecessary tension between the Panel and Paint shop teams.
  • Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Are you an experienced Panel Beater looking for a stable, well-structured role in a reputable Crash Repair Centre? Our client, a family-run Bodyshop in Plumstead, South East London, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Panel Beater to join their team. If you have a strong work ethic, excellent craftsmanship, and a passion for vehicle repairs, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities of a Panel Beater:
  • Vehicle Repairs: Carry out high-quality structural and panel repairs on accident-damaged vehicles.
  • Panel Replacement & Straightening: Repair or replace damaged body panels to manufacturer standards.
  • Welding & Bonding: Use various techniques to restore vehicle integrity.
  • Filler & Finishing Work: Prepare repaired areas for painting by applying body fillers and ensuring a smooth surface.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Paint and Prep team to ensure seamless workflow and high-quality finishes.
  • Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow all health & safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Panel Beater within a bodyshop or accident repair centre.
  • Strong knowledge of modern repair techniques, including aluminium and steel panel repairs.
  • Ability to use industry-standard tools and equipment.
  • A keen eye for detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
