HGV Technician required in Poole, Dorset 
  • Independent Commercial Service Centre
  • £39,520 basic salary
  • £45,000+ OTE
  • 40 hour working week, Monday to Friday
  • 1 in 2 Saturday mornings
  • Overtime guaranteed, paid at x1.5 time
We are currently working with a Independent Commercial Service Centre in Poole and they are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join their workshop team.

Our client will also consider applicants from an LCV background as well as HGV background, so please do get in touch if you would like to join this friendly and established work shop team. 

Duties of a HGV Technician with our Client:
  • Ensuring work is carried out to a high standard of quality Servicing vehicles
  • Carrying out checks and maintenance according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.
  • Repairing and replacing faulty parts and components.
  • Vehicle Inspections
  • Producing repair time estimates.
  • Vehicle Diagnostics & Fault Finding
  • MOT Preparation on HGVs
  • MOT Inspection on Class 4 & 7
  • Maintaining repair and service records.
What our Client expects of their HGV Technicians:
  • Have an NVQ level 3 or City & Guilds Certifications
  • Previous Experience working with HGVs and/or LCVs
  • Hold a full UK Driving Licence
  • Ideally to have a Class 1 HGV licence, though this is not essential 
  • Have own Tools
