Reporting to the Aftersales Manager, as a Workshop Controller you will be fully responsible for running the day-to-day function of our client's workshop, planning, controlling and delivering overall workshop performance. You will motivate and supervise a team of HGV and LCV/Van Technicians ensuring safety, standards and efficiency by the team each day. You will also work closely with the Service Advisors to ensure all work booked in is achievable and planned to meet customer expectations, industry standards and the Technician's workflow.
To be eligible, you will need to have a proven track record in running a successful commercial vehicle workshop for at least two to three years, either with HGV's buses, or coaches. Experience workshop controlling within a franchise-approved automotive dealership would be highly advantageous however is non-essential. Overall you will have excellent communication skills, good interpersonal skills and team orientation, be results orientated, have problem-solving and decision-making skills, put a focus on quality and reliability, and be IT literate. You will also need to have a UK driving license with minimal points.
