Diagnostic Vehicle Technician required in Oxford.
  • SALARY: Up to £19.50 per hour experience plus bonus scheme providing an uncapped on-target earnings of £54,032 per annum.
  • HOURS: 45-hour working week Monday to Friday with 1 in 2 Saturdays 8:00am-1:00pm.

Our client, one of the UK's largest automotive dealer groups, is currently looking to recruit a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician for their premium franchise-approved car dealership located in Oxford. 

Reporting to the Service Manager, and working as part of a team, your responsibilities will include:
  • Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles across the brand our client represents.
  • Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair. This work may include warranty approved work in line with our our client's brand parameters (subject to experience / training level).
  • Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties (if qualified).
  • Completing job cards and electronic write ups on franchise platforms.
  • Completion of electronic vehicle health checks (eVHC’s) and video health checks.
  • Support Apprentice Technicians as required.
To be eligible you will need to be qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair as a minimum and have at least several years practical experience post qualification within a workshop environment as a Vehicle Technician. For this role, it is also desirable that you have an active MOT License in Class 4/7 vehicles but this is non-essential. You will need to hold a UK driving license with minimal points, be a committed individual and be a good team player. You must be able to produce high-quality work in a busy franchise-approved dealership environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team.
