MOT Tester required in Abingdon. 
  • SALARY: Between £35-40,000 per annum, inclusive of basic salary and bonus scheme.
  • HOURS: Guaranteed 5-day 42.5-hour week. Monday to Friday and 1 in 2 Saturdays with a day off in the week when you work a Saturday.

 Our client, one of the UK's largest automotive tyre/fast fit repair groups, is currently recruiting for an experienced MOT Tester to join their brand-new centre in Abingdon.
 
Reporting to the Garage Manager and working as part of a friendly workshop team, you’ll deliver all aspects of the MOT test to Government standards, with the key objective of keeping our customers safe on the road. You’ll support the customer through the process—updating them with progress, any work that needs doing and, where necessary, why their car failed. It’s all about building lifelong customer relationships, and you’ll put as much into that as you do the technical aspects of your role. Where possible, you will also assist in carrying out associated service and repair work as well as providing overall workshop support as and when required.

To be eligible, you will need to hold an active Class 4 and 7 MOT testing licence and a UK driving license with minimal points. You will ideally be qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair; however, our client is also interested in candidates that are time served in their experience of vehicle mechanics, provided they have an active MOT licence. Overall, you will be a good team player with excellent communication skills, liaising with other team members to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of work through the workshop.
