Bodyshop Manager required for Accident Repair Centre
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Salary: Up to £50,000 basic (DOE)
Our client is seeking an experienced Bodyshop Manager to lead their Accident Repair Centre. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to manage all aspects of the bodyshop, ensuring efficient operations, high-quality repairs, and excellent customer service. You will be responsible for overseeing the workshop team, managing workflow and productivity, and maintaining profitability while ensuring compliance with health & safety and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities in this Bodyshop Manager role:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bodyshop to ensure efficiency and productivity
  • Manage a team of panel beaters, paint technicians, MET technicians, and administrative staff
  • Ensure high-quality repairs are carried out in line with industry standards and manufacturer guidelines
  • Maintain and monitor KPIs, including efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction
  • Liaise with insurance companies, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth operations
  • Implement and maintain health & safety standards in compliance with regulations
  • Control workshop costs, including labour, materials, and overheads
  • Provide leadership, motivation, and training to the team to enhance skills and performance
  • Manage customer expectations and ensure excellent service delivery
  • Ensure all administrative duties are completed, including estimates, invoices, and job progress tracking
The successful Bodyshop Manager will have:
  • Previous experience as a Bodyshop Manager, Assistant Manager, or Workshop Controller within an Accident Repair Centre
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • A deep understanding of bodyshop repair processes, insurance requirements, and compliance standards
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of estimating systems (e.g., Audatex) is desirable but not essential
  • A hands-on approach with the ability to support and mentor the team
