  • Basic Salary: £35,000 | OTE: £40,000+
  • Monday–Friday (07:00–17:00 / 07:00–16:00) + 1-in-3 Saturdays (08:00–12:00)

Our client, a highly respected Commercial Vehicle Main Dealer in Ashford, is looking to recruit an experienced and well-organised Workshop Controller to oversee the efficient operation of their busy Truck Department.

This business is trusted by daily drivers, local delivery professionals and major commercial fleets across Kent. They operate with strong values and deep community ties – and they’ve built a workplace culture focused on wellbeing, teamwork and long-term success.

They’re looking for a Workshop Controller who can lead a small, skilled team in the smooth delivery of service and repairs, and who thrives in a fast-paced environment where customer service and technical quality are paramount.

  • £35,000 Basic + £5,000 Bonus

  • Monday to Thursday: 07:00–17:00

  • Friday: 07:00–16:00

  • Saturday (1-in-3): 08:00–12:00

Workshop Controller Duties Include:
  • Managing and coordinating the daily workload of the truck workshop

  • Supporting and deputising for the Service Manager when required

  • Being part of the management team, contributing to profitability and team morale

  • Coordinating technical training and support for the team

  • Ensuring work quality, efficiency and compliance with standards

  • Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction

What We’re Looking For:
  • Previous experience as a Workshop Controller or Service Supervisor

  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial vehicles / trucks

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills

  • Ability to multitask and keep the workshop running smoothly

  • A hands-on approach and positive leadership style
