The role of a Classic Vehicle Mechanic is one that is very varied, and whilst it concentrates mainly on the Restoration and Repair of classic and rare motors, it is also a role that encompasses diagnostic work, engine rebuilds, mechanical and electrical repairs and even welding and fabricating. For this reason it could be a great role for a Master Technician or an Auto Electrician looking for a change in direction.
Progression in a career as a Restoration Technician can involve becoming a Restoration Workshop Controller or Bodyshop Manager.
