A Service Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the Service Team and ensuring they are delivering the best standard of service to every customer.
They are based in a Dealership, which could be a Car Dealership, Commercial Dealership or Motorcycle Dealership and will have regular interaction with new and existing customers. The Service Team Leader will be expected to develop and implement strategies to help grow the Service Department as well as assisting management with interviews and training, managing complaints, cash handling and communicating key messages to the team.
The role of Service Team Leader is very customer focussed, they should represent the brand at all times and are required to deliver a knowledgeable, responsive and efficient service. They should lead by example and act as a mentor to the Service Advisors, ensuring processes and standards are adhered to and that the department is reaching or exceeding their targets.
There is great scope for progression in this role and the natural next steps would be promotion to the role of Service Manager and then upwards.
Typical working hours of a Service Team Leader are usually around 40 hours per week and this can involves working some weekends as and when required.
