As a Receptionist in the automotive industry, you will be the first point of contact for customers contacting the Dealership whether this be in person or over the phone. It is essential that you are well presented, have excellent people skills and the desire to deliver outstanding customer service at all times.

Based in a Main Dealership, a successful automotive receptionist will represent the brand in their approach to customers. This will involve ensuring that every customer is provided with a personalised service but also that the showroom itself is up to the standards set out by the brand. This role involves a variety of administrative tasks including; meet and greet of customers, managing bookings and appointments, processing warranty claims, organising courtesy vehicles, keeping customers informed at every step of the way and other general housekeeping duties.

This role provides a fantastic opportunity to learn the operation behind running a Dealership and widen your knowledge of the Motor Trade. The career path for an Automotive Receptionist is wide open for someone with the right attitude and drive. You could choose to become a Sales Executive or work in the Marketing team depending on your skills set.

Typical working hours in this role are around 37.5 hours per week and this usually involves some weekend working. Salaries average at around £18K for this type of work.
