As a Vehicle Rental Receptionist you will be the first point of contact for customers contacting the business whether this be in person or over the phone. It is essential that you are well presented, have excellent people skills and the desire to deliver outstanding customer service at all times.

This role could be based in a Main Dealership or based in a rental business which solely organises vehicle rental and hires. A successful Rental Receptionist will serve customers in a friendly and professional manner, will process rental requests, organise the collection and drop off of vehicles and up sell products and services to ensure profitability of the department is maximised. Most employers will look for someone with some knowledge of the Automotive Industry as well as a full UK Driving license.

This role provides a fantastic opportunity to develop your knowledge of the Motor Trade. The career path for Rental Receptionist is wide open for someone with the right attitude and drive. You could choose to stay in the Rental side of the industry and work your way up to Team Leader or move to a Dealership as a Sales Executive and develop your skills there.

Typical working hours in this role are around 37.5 hours per week and this usually involves some weekend working. Salaries average at around £18K for this type of work but you may also get the opportunity to earn a performance based bonus in this role.
