  • Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 18:00
  • Optional Saturdays
Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester required for a family-run garage in the Southampton area.

Our client is an independent garage with a strong reputation in the local area for their high quality of work ranging from servicing to full diagnostics and repair. They pride themselves on providing transparent and effective solutions to vehicle repair to ensure repeat business and a loyal customer base.

They are seeking a qualified vehicle technician and MOT Tester to join the team to aid with their increasing workload. Ideally, you will be willing to complete MOTs and vehicle repairs however sole MOT Testers are more than welcome to apply.

Duties of a Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester with our Client:
  • Carrying out servicing and repairs of vehicles to excellent standards
  • Complete MOTs within allocated time slots and in line with the DVSA guidelines 
  • Communicating with the Service Reception team and Workshop Control on test results and additional work necessary
  • Ensuring quality inspection controls are carried out
  • Maintaining thorough and up-to-date product knowledge
  • Providing exceptionally high customer service levels that lead to customer loyalty and referrals
What our Client expects of their Vehicle Technician/MOT Testers:
  • Qualified Vehicle Technician - NVQ Level 3 
  • Valid MOT Testing Certification strongly preferred
  • Ability to complete work efficiently and to a high standard
  • Capacity to work under pressure
  • Quality awareness and attention to detail
  • Strong customer awareness
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Full driving licence
