MET Technician required for Unique Automotive Bodyshop in Derby
  • Basic Salary up to £38,000 depending on experience.
  • OTE c. £45,000.

Our client is a specialist automotive Accident Repair Centre, seeking an MET Fitter or a Panel Beater with some experience of MET work.

As a MET Technician, your requirements will be: 
  • Ideally you will be working as a MET Technician currently within a bodyshop but it is essential that you have strong mechanical knowledge. The client is open to qualification status held.
  • Have an eye for Detail.
  • Quality Awareness.
  • Communication Skills.
  • Multi-Tasking.
  • ATA would be advantageous but not essential.
As a MET Technician, your responsibilities are:
  • Overall you will be able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
  • Carry out duties as detailed on job cards to manufacturer and company standards.
  • Use initiative and have the ability to prioritise workload to meet delivery times and customers’ expectations.
  • Be able to work independently but liaise effectively with colleagues and support others by multi-tasking during busy periods.
  • Inspections and testing.
  • Identify faults or work that is found to be required or considered to be advisable in the interests of safety.
  • Carry out all mechanical tasks and bodywork on allocated jobs.
