Reporting to the Accounts Manager and working as part of a friendly team of four, in the role of an Accounts Assistant your responsibilities shall include:
- Focus on purchase ledger whilst still completing other accounts roles.
- Managing company purchases and debts.
- Process daily banking
- Assist in the preparation of files and returns for both internal and external auditors as required.
- Prepare ad-hoc information for the Regional Accounting Team as required.
- Post Vehicle & Customer payments & control of associated debtors.
- Post bank statements and bank reconciliations.
- Process supplier invoices
- Reconcile supplier statements in preparation for payment runs
The ideal Accounts Assistant will be enthusiastic, highly organised and a good team player, able to work to strict deadlines and pay attention to detail. They should be self-motivated with the ability to solve problems and be IT literate (ideally with Kerridge/CDK dealer management system experience but this is non-essential). Any previous experience in a similar automotive accounts role would be highly advantageous however is non-essential.
