  • Starting salary of £33-35,000, dependent on experience, with an OTE of £50,000 per annum.

Our client, a family-run franchise-approved car dealership located in Cardiff, is currently looking to recruit a Sales Manager for their dealership, overseeing their new and used car operations. 

Reporting to our client's Managing Director/General Manager, as a Sales Manager, you will have overall accountability for the small yet performing sales team. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Lead, manage and motivate a team of automotive professionals, ensuring the dealership is adequately resourced.
  • Drive a high-performance culture, ensuring performance is rewarded and underperformance is managed.
  • Oversee the sales division, ensuring performance meets or exceeds budget.
  • Set financial and growth objectives for each department, and plan accordingly to ensure profit and product targets are met.
  • Accurately finalise dealership reporting, in line with our client's group reporting frameworks.
  • Develop and roll out dealership marketing and publicity strategies to support objectives.
  • Support the dealerships to consistently achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure dealership activities are conducted in line with our clients, manufacturer and regulatory requirements.
Given the nature of this role, you will have previous experience at a Sales Manager level within a franchise-approved automotive dealership. In addition to your previous experience, our client is seeking an individual who displays strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a large and diverse team, a professional and calm approach with strong stakeholder management skills to manage internal and external stakeholders, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to foresee potential barriers. A UK driving licence with minimal points is also essential.
