As a Workshop Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the workshop, focusing on improving customer experience, efficiency, and minimising costs.
Key responsibilities within this Workshop Controller role include:
- Supporting Technicians in the workshop.
- Effective production planning and scheduling, adhering to workshop standards.
- Conducting daily meetings and following up on team KPIs.
- Identifying improvement areas and implementing measures to achieve objectives.
- Pre-checking and following the daily planning for the team.
- Providing first-line support and assistance to the team.
- Coaching and supporting PSTs with technical and administrative issues.
- Coordinating improvement work in the workshop and tracking progress.
- Previous experience as Workshop Controller preferred.
- Strong coaching, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Understanding of the customer service process, including parts and sales.
- Ability to identify problems at root cause and plan effective solutions.
- Availability for Saturday Rota shifts and flexibility during holiday periods average 1 in 4.
