Mobile HGV Technician Vacancy - Midlands Fleet Maintenance Company 
  • Basic salary up to £49,000
  • 45 hours Per week
  • Hours not fixed

My client is a highly respected fleet maintenance company with sites across the country. They're now looking for a Mobile HGV Technician to join them to support multiple sites across the country, most of which based in The Midlands.

They have 14 sites with state of the art workshops. Their objective is to complete work for clients fleets to a high standard, including supermarkets, as well as companies with similar sized fleets. You will be supporting the sites which have gaps due to holiday/sickness. 

Work predominantly includes HGV servicing, maintenance and repair, and occasionally LCV's. As such, you'll need to know your way around HGV repairs to a high standard in-line with manufacture expectations. You must be qualified, with Level 3 HGV Repair and maintenance or equivalent and, Ideally you'll be IRTEC trained too. Although, IRTEC can be provided. 

Responsibilities of this Mobile HGV Technician role
  • Mobile Role covering 14 sites spread across the UK and Northern Ireland.
  • Ideally Centrally based in the country but willing to consider all location options.
  • 45 hour working week on dayshift Mon-Fri but not fixed hours per day.
  • Must be MAN product trained and have worked for MAN dealer. 
  • Must have good knowledge of 2021/22/23 MAN TGX and TGM models.
The Main role of Mobile HGV Technician job will be to visit sites and repair/advise on MAN technical issues that cannot be resolved by the onsite techs. Training of techs whilst at sites to upskill on MAN product. Responsible for the upkeep of the MANCAT diagnostics that are based at selected locations to ensure they are in full working order and software is always up to date. To work with MAN directly to resolve technical issues and keep up to date with product knowledge and training. To write and distribute MAN technical bulletins and TBT across the group.
