HGV Technician required for our clients Vehicle Dealership in Portsmouth!

Our Client a commercial Vehicle Main Dealer with over 30 years of Trading is seeking a HGV Technician for their Night Shift in their Portsmouth Branch.

Our client deals with a number of Haulage Businesses and Commercials enterprises, ensuring them whether they are purchasing a vehicle, or maintaining a commercial vehicle, they are providing both individual customers and large multinational companies an excellent service. The service and expertise provided by the parts team is crucial to the success of the business

Duties of a HGV Technician with our Client
  • Carrying out vehicle repairs in accordance with manufacturer's procedures within standard times set.
  • Vehicle inspection
  • General servicing
  • Fault diagnosis
  • Repair of vehicle defects
  • Road test vehicles
  • MOT preparation/presentation.
  • Breakdown/roadside assistance and call out duty required.
  • Completion of all required paperwork accurately
What our Client expects of their HGV Technician
  • Be a qualified HGV Technician (City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three or equivalent).
  • Have previous relevant experience gained in a similar industry.
  • Have a full driving licence.
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Ability to work to instruction
