As a Vehicle Prepper / Paint Technician, you’ll play an essential role in the vehicle repair process, ensuring all bodywork is prepped and painted to a high standard. You’ll work on a variety of vehicle makes and models, using industry leading equipment and materials to deliver a "like new" finish. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing vehicles for the paint process, including sanding, masking, and priming
- Mixing paint to match manufacturer specifications and achieving a perfect color match
- Applying paint coats using spray guns to a professional standard
- Refinishing surfaces to remove any imperfections
- Conducting final quality checks to ensure a pristine finish before the vehicle is handed back to the customer
- Working in a collaborative team of professionals dedicated to delivering outstanding service
What Our Client is Looking For in their Next Vehicle Prepper / Paint Technician: To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Prepper / Paint Technician in a crash repair or accident repair workshop
- A solid understanding of surface preparation, paint mixing, and spray-painting techniques
- The ability to handle a variety of paint types and finishes with precision
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering top-quality work
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
- An NVQ/IMI Level 3 in Vehicle Refinishing (or equivalent) preferred but not essential
- Hours: 7am - 4pm, Monday to Friday (No weekend work!)
- Pay: Competitive rates based on experience + monthly and quarterly bonuses
