Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking for a step up or a diverse and rewarding role? A reputable commercial vehicle service provider is seeking a Workshop Controller / Senior HGV Technician to join their team in Bedfordshire.

Senior HGV Technician / Workshop Controller Position Overview:
  • Workshop Controller / Senior HGV Technician
  • Bedfordshire
  • £45,000- £55,000 per year (dependent on experience)
  • Schedule:
  • 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday
  • Your choice of shifts:
  • 6:00am - 4:00pm 
  • OR 1:00pm - 11pm
  • AM and PM shifts available
  • Weekend availability as required
Key Responsibilities of a Senior HGV Technician / Workshop Controller:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial vehicles and trailers to DVSA standards.
  • Diagnose and rectify all types of vehicle and trailer faults.
  • Attend breakdowns to support vehicles at the roadside or customer premises.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations and safe working practices are strictly adhered to.
  • Coordinate the workshop’s daily operations, ensuring tasks are efficiently managed and completed to high standards.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Level 3 HGV Technician qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in HGV maintenance (preferred).
  • HGV Driving Licence (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Leadership capabilities and the ability to manage workflow effectively.
  • Commitment to maintaining safety and compliance standards.
