HGV Technician required in the Basildon area.

Our motor trade client has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician to join their motor trade team based in Basildon.

As an HGV Technician you will be working on a wide variety of modern heavy goods vehicles.

The successful HGV Technician will be required to undertake all aspects of vehicle maintenance duties to include but not limited to:
  • Full Vehicle Safety Inspections & MOT Preparation to DVSA required standards.
  • General Service and repair works to HGV’s.
  • HGV Vehicle electrical and mechanical diagnostic using a variety of electronic diagnostic's including some manufacturer diagnostic software.
  • Some offsite safety inspections and running repairs, which will require customer facing contact.
Details & Benefits of this HGV Technician vacancy include:
  • Salary circa £40,000 to £48,000 p.a. dependent on experience.
  • Monday to Friday 6.00am to 2.30pm and 1.30pm to 10.00pm on a weekly rotating shift pattern.
  • Every other Saturday is worked 7.00am to 12.00pm paid at time and a half.
  • Excellent rates of pay based on experience and qualifications, plus shift allowance.
  • 28 Days Holiday including bank holidays.

They are looking for fully skilled and experienced HGV Technician’s with industry recognised qualifications either City & Guilds or NVQ, with the ability to use computer diagnostic devices and software for day to day operation as well as be a team player but also able to work with own initiative.
