Our client has a strong presence in the automotive industry in the North West and are known for providing exceptional service to their customers. They are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join their team.
 
Vehicle Technician Job Description:

You will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing vehicles to the highest standard. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine inspections, diagnosing faults, and implementing effective solutions. You will work closely with the service team to ensure that repairs are carried out efficiently and within set timeframes. Attention to detail, technical expertise, and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities of a Vehicle Technician:

  • Perform vehicle diagnostics and identify faults using advanced diagnostic equipment.
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance on a range of vehicles, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and quality standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections and servicing of vehicles, including oil changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotations.
  • Complete accurate and comprehensive repair records.
  • Collaborate with the service team to prioritise and efficiently manage repair schedules.
  • Stay updated with industry advancements and undertake relevant training as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Requirements of a Vehicle Technician with our client:
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician within a reputable automotive dealership or service centre.
  • Solid understanding of vehicle systems and components.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Relevant technical qualifications or certifications (e.g., Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds).
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • A valid driver's license.
