Workshop Controller / Workshop Control Support required in Birmingham 
  • Basic Salary (Fully negotiable depending on experience) 
  • Bonus earning £35k+
  • 40 Basic Weekly Hours, Monday to Friday ONLY! 
Our client is a longstanding family-owned and operated business with over a century of experience. They proudly run 13 full-service dealerships situated in key locations across the UK.

My client is looking for an experienced Workshop Controller to join their team and make a positive impact within the workshop.

As a Workshop Controller, your main duties and responsibilities will include the following:
  • Preparing job cards & raising invoices in line with works carried out & manufacturer guidelines using Kerridge DMS system, and outside customer authorisation platforms.
  • Identifying parts using manufacturer parts identification tools, & booking of parts to workshop job cards using the Kerridge DMS system.
  • Answering the telephone & dealing with customer enquiries.
  • Dealing with customer enquiries on the Service Reception counter.
  • Managing the team of technicians.
  • Managing the shifts work load in accordance with customer expectations.
  • Create an accurate hand-over data sheet for the following day’s early service shift controller.
  • Locking up the site, and setting the alarm system at the end of each shift.
  • Organisation skills
  • IT Literate
  • Experience warranty
  • Costing retail cards
  • Use of ADP advantageous.
For this Workshop Controller position you will need the following;
  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar workshop or service environment
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of vehicle systems, maintenance, and repair processes.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to multitask, prioritise effectively, and maintain efficient work-flow in a busy workshop environment.
  • Customer Service: Strong communication skills and the ability to handle customer queries professionally.
  • Team Leadership: Experience in supervising or managing a team of technicians or mechanics.
  • Health & Safety Awareness: Knowledge of workshop safety standards and regulations.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues, provide solutions, and ensure quality outcomes.
  • Workshop Management Software: Familiarity with workshop or service management systems
  • Time Management: Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining high standards.
