Do you have experience working on HGVs or Buses? Looking to work for one of the most well-recognised Bus & HGV Businesses across the country? - This could be the perfect opportunity for YOU!! Our client, the UK’s leading Bus / HGV Businesses , is currently looking to hire an experienced Bus / HGV Technician to work out of their Basingstoke depot.

The successful Bus / HGV Technician will be rewarded with:
  • £44,000 Salary + Optional Overtime
  • 40 Hour Week - Mixture Of Early / Core / Late Shifts On A 5 Week Rota 
  • National Bus / HGV / Coach Business 
  • NVQ Level 3 Qualifications Required - HGV OR PSV 
  • Full UK Driving Licence Needed
  • Training Provided - Variety Of HGV's & Buses
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, as a Bus / HGV Technician your key objectives will include:
  • Repairing and maintaining our client's fleet of over 400 modern buses and coaches to a high standard including Dennis Eagle, Volvo and Optare.
  • Carrying out preventative and proactive maintenance in line with company policies.
  • Carrying out roadside and running repairs as and when necessary.
  • If you have the relevant experience, helping supervise a team of staff including Maintenance/Service Fitters, Coach Builders, Electricians, Cleaners/Shunters, Clerks, stores personnel and contractors.
  • Be responsible for our client's premises, plant and equipment.
  • Adhering to Health & Safety policies.
To be eligible you will need to be trained to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent qualification as either an HGV, PSV, or Plant/Agricultural Equipment Technician and ideally have experience working as a shift leader/supervisor in a similar commercial environment however this is not essential. You will need to be a committed individual and a good team player. You must be able to produce high-quality work in a busy workshop environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team. Applicants with an active HGV or PSV driving licence would be highly advantageous however this is non-essential.
