Our client, a well-established Main Car Dealership is seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Technician to join their team. The successful Vehicle Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and safety of a diverse range of vehicles.

As a Service Vehicle Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing a variety of vehicles to the highest standards. From diagnostics and routine maintenance to complex repairs, you will ensure every vehicle is roadworthy and exceeds customer expectations.

Key Benefits and Information about this Service Technician role:
  • Monday – Friday 08:00 to 17:30.
  • 1 in 3 Saturdays worked 08:00 – 13:00.
  • Basic Salary up to £40,000 p.a with OTE potentials of up to £47,000 p.a
  • Earn an Extra £2,000 on top of your Basic Salary if you have an EV qualification.

The ideal Vehicle Technician will have a proven track record as a Service Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, or in a similar role, complemented by relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, or equivalent, in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team are essential, along with holding a full UK driving license.

What will your day look like as a Service Vehicle Technician:
  • Perform routine maintenance jobs, such as oil changes, brake checks, or tyre rotations.
  • Use advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot vehicle issues.
  • Carry out necessary repairs, ranging from simple fixes to complex mechanical or electrical work.
  • Communicate with customers to explain required repairs and provide updates on the progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues when tackling challenging repairs or sharing best practices.
  • Attend training sessions or stay updated on new automotive technologies and techniques.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations throughout the day.
  • Document the work completed and ensure records are accurate.
