Bodyshop Controller required in Cardiff.
  • Basic salary is likely to be circa £40,000 per annum. 
  • Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.
  • Great opportunity to work with an independent accident repair specialist in the region.
Our client, a family-run accident repair company based in the Cardiff region, is currently looking to recruit a Workshop Controller / Bodyshop Controller to join their busy bodyshop in their leadership team.

Reporting to the Managing Director and accountable for 16 members of staff in the bodyshop, your responsibilities will include:
  • Day-to-day control of the Bodyshop Technicians (Paint/Prep/Panel/Alloy Wheel)
  • Liaise with the Bodyshop Manager and productive team to ensure the best process.
  • Ensure customer requirements are fully understood and communicated effectively to other members of the team.
  • Monitor individual and workshop efficiencies to ensure key performance indicators are met.
  • To calculate and manage the effective use of the bodyshop.
  • Plan the distribution of work among the team utilising the available skills mix.
  • Identify individual training and development needs.
  • Manage liaison between the workshop and bodyshop reception on customer vehicle progress.
  • Manage workshop standards by HSO requirements.
To be eligible, you will ideally live in the Cardiff region or live within a reasonable commuting distance of Cardiff and will ideally hold a proven track record in running a successful automotive bodyshop. Overall you will have excellent communication skills, good interpersonal skills and team orientation, be results orientated, have problem-solving and decision-making skills, put a focus on quality and reliability, and be IT literate. You will also need to have a UK driving license with minimal points.

For your hard work as a Bodyshop Controller, our client is offering:
  • Basic salary is likely to be circa £40,000 per annum. 
  • 20 days annual leave plus the 8 bank holidays.
  • Full in-house training provided.
  • Great opportunity to work with an independent accident repair specialist in the region.
  • Working hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:00pm. No weekends are required.
