Workshop Controller required in Oxford.
  • SALARY: Up to £37,894 per annum plus bonus scheme providing an uncapped on-target earnings of £45,000 per annum.
  • HOURS: 45-hour working week Monday to Friday with 1 in 2 Saturdays 8:00am-1:00pm.

Our client, one of the UK's largest automotive dealer groups, is currently looking to recruit a Workshop Controller for their premium franchise-approved car dealership located in Oxford. 

Reporting to the Service Manager, your responsibilities as a Workshop Controller will include:
  • Lead, manage and motivate a team of qualified and apprentice Vehicle Technicians.
  • Allocate work orders to Vehicle Technicians, and manage their clocking on/off, and rostering.
  • Ensure workshop operations meet brand standards for quality by conducting regular quality checks on completed works.
  • Drive service profitability by ensuring maximum time save and upsell.
  • Manage and update workshop technical solutions including eVHC and service booking database.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to service customers both face-to-face and by phone.
  • Assist and work closely with the Service Advisor team as required.
To be eligible, you will ideally live in the Oxford region or within a reasonable commuting distance to Oxford and will need to have a proven track record in running a successful automotive workshop for the past three years, ideally within a franchise-approved car dealership. Ideally, you will have experience in administrating eVHC software. Overall you will have excellent communication skills, good interpersonal skills and team orientation, be results orientated, have problem-solving and decision-making skills, put a focus on quality and reliability, and be IT literate. You will also need to have a UK driving license with minimal points.
