Technician and MOT Tester Needed in Bolton
  • Location: Bolton
  • Working Hours: 43 hours per week, Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm, Sat until 12:30pm (1 in 3 Saturdays off)
  • Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
Our client, a popular and well-established family-run garage in Bolton, is seeking a qualified Technician and MOT Tester to join their team. With a well-equipped workshop and a team of experienced technicians, our client offers a great working environment. They specialize in Car Repairs, Servicing, Hybrid & EV vehicles, and have 9 bays across two locations, providing ample opportunity for growth and development.

Key Responsibilities as a Technician / MOT Tester:
  • Service, maintain, and repair a variety of vehicles, including hybrid and EV models
  • Conduct MOT tests in line with regulatory standards
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults
  • Ensure high-quality repairs and maintenance services
  • Work effectively with other team members to meet service targets and customer satisfaction
  • Follow all safety procedures and workshop guidelines
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients
What We’re Looking For in a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester:
  • Strong experience as a Technician, with a valid MOT testing qualification
  • Experience in car repairs, servicing, and diagnostics
  • Ability to work on hybrid and electric vehicles is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong team player
  • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
  • Full UK driving licence
