A well-established engineering company providing innovative solutions across multiple industries is seeking a Design Engineer to support a variety of customer-focused projects. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual passionate about engineering and product development.

Key responsibilities as a Design Engineer:
  • Manage customer enquiries and generate quotes.
  • Design automotive systems and components using SolidWorks from concept to production.
  • Work closely with internal teams and suppliers to resolve engineering challenges.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation including FMEAs and DVPs.
  • Manage engineering change control processes.
  • Generate project status reports and support online/social media activities.
  • Conduct hand calculations and develop spreadsheets for product development.
Essential Skills & Experience as a Design Engineer:
  • Excellent SolidWorks CAD skills (Certified SolidWorks users preferred).
  • Experience in automotive engineering.
  • HND or engineering degree (or relevant manufacturing experience).
  • Strong problem-solving and numeracy skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
Desirable Experience as a Design Engineer:
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • CSWE-Mechanical Design accreditation.
