Vehicle Technician needed in Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire. 

Our client prides themselves on delivering top-quality service to their customers. As a leading provider in the automotive industry, they are expanding their team and are looking for a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join them.

This is an exciting opportunity for anyone passionate about working with vehicles and delivering exceptional service. As a Vehicle Technician, you'll diagnose and repair vehicle issues using advanced diagnostic tools, perform routine maintenance, and ensure all work meets company and manufacturer standards. Your role includes delivering excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and safe workshop, keeping accurate records, and staying current with automotive technologies.

  • You will hold a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and repair.
  • An MOT license is desired but not essential.

The ideal Vehicle Technician for this position will hold a level 3 NVQ or equivalent in vehicle maintenance repair and have the ability to work effectively both as a team and individually. You will bring a driven and energetic character into the workplace and preferably hold a valid MOT license.  

Duties and Responsibilities of this Vehicle Technician position:
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical problems. 
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections. 
  • Utilise diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex vehicle issues. 
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used. 
  • Communicate effectively with customers, explaining vehicle issues and repair recommendations. 
  • Uphold a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols. 
  • Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and industry standards to ensure high-quality service.
