A Sales Controller plays a vital role within the Sales Team. They oversee the Sales Operation which includes managing all sales enquires; adapting finance packages to suit the requirements of the individual customer, support and develop all Sales Executives to maximise performance, drive sales of finance, warranty and credit protection insurance products and ensure that the team are compliant at all times.
This is a managerial role which can be based in a Main Dealership, Commercial Dealership or Motorcycle Dealership. It is heavily target driven and requires someone with a proactive and enthusiastic approach.
Since this job centres around selling finance options, it is essential that a Sales Controller has a strong working knowledge of Finance and Insurance (F&I).
The working hours of a Sales Controller can be up to 45 hours per week and this can include some weekend work on a rota basis. As a Sales Controller you will also get the opportunity to achieve great bonuses based on performance and scope for promotion up to Sales Manager or Commercial Sales Manager and then onto Dealer Principal for the right person.
