Our client, a franchise-approved car dealer group with their head office in Chepstow is currently looking to hire a Workshop Controller to join their busy Car Preparation Department on their early shift.

As the Workshop Controller, you will be a proactive member of the dealership's team, with joint responsibility for the Used Car Preparation Mechanical Department and reporting to the Site Manager. You will work alongside a productive Workshop Controller and will be jointly responsible for overseeing and motivating a busy team of 11 Technicians working on an early shift pattern! You will be required to run an efficient and professional operation to ensure complete customer satisfaction through the maximum utilisation of workshop facilities and the efficient sale of labour.

The successful applicant will ideally live within the Chepstow region or be within a reasonable commuting distance of there. You must have a proven track record at a supervisory/controller level within an automotive workshop environment. A strong technical understanding of passenger cars would be highly beneficial however client would also consider candidates from a van, plant, or commercial vehicle background. Overall you will be effective in managing and supporting colleagues and have the drive and determination to maintain policies that constantly improve customer satisfaction and our client's reputation. You will be IT literate and ideally have experience working with the Kerridge/Keyloop DMS system.
