Vehicle Technician Needed for Main Dealer in Southampton
  • Basic Salary: Up to £40,885
  • Team Bonus: Approx. £300 per month
  • Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00. 1 in 3 Saturdays (08:30 – 13:00) at overtime rate (x1.5). No paid breaks for 5-hour Saturday shifts.
  • 23 days + bank holidays (increasing with service)
Our client is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their prestigious main dealership in Southampton.

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a renowned family-led dealership group with over 160 years of heritage. As a Vehicle Technician, you will play an integral role in maintaining and servicing a premium range of vehicles in a large, modern 30-bay workshop.

Duties of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Perform routine servicing and maintenance to the highest manufacturer standards
  • Carry out diagnostics and fault-finding across a range of modern vehicles
  • Repair and replace components as per manufacturer guidelines
  • Ensure that all vehicles are safe and meet regulatory requirements
  • Provide clear and thorough vehicle reports to customers, showcasing your expertise and customer service
  • If you hold an MOT licence, you may also be asked to carry out MOT testing (desirable, but not essential)
What our client expects from their Vehicle Technicians:
  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role
  • Strong diagnostic skills and ability to work with modern diagnostic equipment
  • Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude
  • Full UK driving licence
  • MOT testing qualification is desirable but not essential
  • A desire to develop your skills and further your career in the automotive industry
