Vehicle SMART Repair Technician required in Carlisle
  • Starting salary negotiable pending experience from c. £31,782 plus additional performance related bonus scheme (paid monthly).
  • 40 hour week Monday to Friday.
  • Relevant Qualifications are desirable with any Bodyshop experience welcome. 
Our client, one of the largest manufacturer-owned automotive dealer groups in the UK, are currently looking to recruit a SMART Repair Technician to join their SMART repair facility in Carlisle.   

Report to the Centre Manager and working as part of a team, your key responsibilities will include: 
  • Carry out all SMART repairs according to best practice procedures.
  • Meeting acceptable safety and quality standards.
  • Interpret and implement technical instruction data.
  • Use all paint mixing schemes and drying areas/equipment accurately for all paint repairs.
  • Seek clarification from the Centre Manager if a work order is not clear or seems incorrect.
  • Complete assigned jobs within the estimated repair/paint times.
  • Safeguard the customer’s vehicle and its contents while in the centre.
  • Ensure that all vehicles comply with safety standards when returned to customers.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with retailer, manufacturer and industry guidelines.
  • Fulfil all tasks to the customer’s complete satisfaction.
In order to be eligible you will need to have previous experience as a Vehicle SMART Repair Technician (either mobile or workshop based) or alternately have relevant transferable automotive accident repair experience with skills like vehicle re-spraying and prepping. Overall you will be a team player, have strong communication skills, be capable of working towards targets/KPI's, and be able to maintain high standards of house-keeping. A UK driving licence with minimal points is also essential.
