Prep Technician required in Swansea. 
  • Starting salary around £12.50 per hour pending experience.
  • Monday to Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm and Friday 8:30am-4:00pm.
  • Optional Saturday mornings and these will be paid additionally at time and a half.
  • Access to full in-house and manufacturer accredited training.
Our client, one of the largest car dealer groups in South Wales, are currently looking to recruit a Prep Technician for their busy franchise approved car dealership in Swansea.

Reporting to the Service Manager and working with a friendly workshop team, as a Prep Technician your role will include:
  • Accurately and skillfully undertaking the servicing & repairs of vehicles that are predominantly part exchanges ready for them to be resold by the sales team.
  • You will need to ensure all work is completed safely and complies with retailer, manufacturer, industry guidelines & completed to the highest standards.
  • Pending your qualification level, you may coach, mentor and provide diagnostic and technical assistance to apprentice Vehicle Technicians. 
In order to be eligible as a Prep Technician:
  • You will also need to be able to demonstrate a strong and comprehensive understanding of vehicle diagnostics/electronics.
  • Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and ideally having a couple of years experience within a workshop.
  • You will need to hold a UK driving licence, be a committed individual and a good team player.
  • Overall you must be able to produce a high quality of work in a busy environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for you team.
Our client is open to any level of Technician, from 4th year Apprentice Vehicle Technician to a Master Technician.
