Classic Car Mechanic Required in the Alton, Hampshire area
  • Salary: £35,000 -  £41,600 DOE 
  • Hours: 8.30 - 5pm Monday - Friday 
We are currently working with a well-established Motor Trade Classic Car Restoration Specialist for over 30 years specialising in some of Britain's most historic classic and vintage cars. This client has an excellent reputation world wide for everything they specialise in.

They are seeking another member of their workshop team to cope with increasing demand who has at least 10 years mechanical experience working as a classic vehicle mechanic preferably with engine building, gearbox and car tuning experience to support the workshop team with all things mechanical and restoration. This is a crucial role to the success of the business, as such, the rewards and benefits they offer set them apart from other Restoration garages in the local area.

Within this Classic Car Mechanic role your typical duties will include: 
  • Testing, diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults on cars
  • Inspection and assembly of vehicles to identify wear and tear 
  • Recommendation of cars for future improvements
  • Restoration, Replacement of components and repair 
  • Fitting up restoration cars
  • Tuning engines for optimum performance
  • Working on electrical and mechanical systems
  • Supporting other Technicians in the workshop 
  • Recording work carried out and parts used
