Vehicle Technician required in Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire.

Our client is a Prestige Brand Independent Automotive Specialist, they have a team of highly skilled Vehicle Technicians and are looking to add to their solid team. As a family-owned business, they foster a warm, family-like atmosphere in their workplace, promoting strong friendships and positive working relationships among their Vehicle Technicians. Their core value is respect—it’s not only about meeting the company’s needs but also ensuring the well-being of the team.

Details & Benefits of this Vehicle Technician vacancy include:
  • Highly Competitive Basic Salary ranging from £35,000 to £45,000 p.a. (depending on experience).
  • Weekday hours are Monday – Friday: 8.30 am-5.30 pm.
  • No Saturdays Worked!!
  • Holiday Allowance is 22 days + bank holidays.
  • They are enrolled in the German Brand Main Dealer training so you can continue your training and development as a Vehicle Technician.
  • Contract: Full Time, Permanent (PAYE).
  • Essential to Have: UK Right to Work / Full UK Driving Licence & Your Own Tools.
What will your day look like as a Vehicle Technician?
  • Perform diagnostics to identify vehicle issues using specialised tools and equipment
  • Carry out repairs and replacements on engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and more
  • Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections
  • Interact with customers to explain issues, provide repair estimates, and recommend solutions
  • Replace faulty vehicle parts with new or reconditioned components to ensure optimal performance
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and services provided
The systems/diagnostic software their Vehicle Technicians use is all from a Prestige Main Dealer, as are the day-to-day working processes they have implemented in the workshop, and they deliver a Main Dealer style of service to their customers ensuring regular repeat business.

The successful Vehicle Technician will have NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Mechanics, and a good skill set able to work on various tasks such as servicing, repairs, cambelts, clutches and timing chains etc
