Commercial & Agricultural Vehicle Technician
  • Location: Petworth, West Sussex
  • Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum OTE (based on experience)
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm (1-hour unpaid lunch) + occasional weekend work
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial & Agricultural Vehicle Technician to join a well-established and reputable automotive repairing business. This role is ideal for a skilled vehicle technician who enjoys working with a variety of vehicles, including  pickup trucks, Mercedes Unimogs & Atego lorries, as well as a full range of complementary agricultural products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out servicing and repairs on a diverse range of vehicles.
  • Assist the Service Manager in daily operations, including service bookings and customer interactions.
  • Liaise with the parts department to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Provide technical support to team members and customers.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, maintaining health & safety compliance.
Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, ideally within commercial and/or agricultural sectors.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic expertise.
  • Experience using diagnostic software and tools.
  • Knowledge of modern engine emission systems and canbus systems.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and motivate colleagues.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and proficient with IT systems.
  • Full UK driving licence (HGV Class 1 licence beneficial but not essential).
