Our Client is one of the largest automotive groups in the UK and internationally, operating across over 70 dealership sites representing a variety of leading automotive brands.

They are currently seeking a Workshop Controller to lead their successful Service Department based in the Sevenoaks area. With recent investment into workshop facilities, this dealership offers a modern, well-equipped working environment where team leadership and high-quality service go hand in hand.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong technical background, great organisational skills and a proven ability to lead and drive workshop efficiency.

Duties of a Workshop Controller with our Client:
  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the workshop and manage a team of skilled Technicians.
  • Monitor workshop productivity, efficiency, and quality control.
  • Allocate work effectively to ensure the smooth operation of the workshop.
  • Liaise with the Service Advisors to prioritise jobs and communicate timeframes to customers.
  • Support and guide technicians with technical queries and diagnostic work.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and manufacturer standards are met.
  • Drive a positive team culture and foster a high-performance environment.
  • Maintain health & safety compliance and workshop housekeeping standards.
What our Client expects of their Workshop Controller:
  • Previous Workshop Controller / Senior Technician experience in a main dealer or busy independent environment.
  • Strong technical background with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong communication and organisational abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritise workload.
  • A proactive attitude with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
  • Full UK Driving Licence required.
